Took our Princess stove/oven to a local RV repair shop to have it checked out. It came with our trailer, but was not installed. Two of the stove top burners work, but the middle burner has a leak at the valve stem. The repair guy is unsure what might be needed to fix the leak, maybe an O ring? He said once he tears into the valve, if a replacement part is not available, the valve may be toast, as it may not shut off. He mentioned making a part, but w/o knowledge of the components, could not make a guarantee. Does anyone have any suggestions on whether the valve can be salvaged/repaired? Is a replacement valve the only option, and if so, what's the likelihood of finding one? Also, does anyone have any info on the Princess burners/valves that can be shared with the repair shop to help make a decision? Already spent $80 for the diagnosis. At some $ point, replacing the stove with a drop in cook top might be the answer, not what I would prefer though. I do have a request to Chris "The Trailer Trasher" to see what he may have.
Thanks for any expert advice!
Dan
