Hi, I have started my restoration at the curbside rear corner. Having just removed the original rear sill, I noticed that there are multiple drilled holes in the end of the outrigger supports for the carriage bolts. Pix below. I was wondering if this was original and why would you need to? Thanks Rod Support closest to the rear of the wheel well. Rear most outrigger support.

Maybe the guys installing the floor to frame fasteners were paid by the bolt. I know the guys with the staple guns sure were paid by the staple, at least at the scotty factory!

Coulda been "training day" at the trailer shop that day with a few "oops and dang its" occurring. Other thing that comes to mind is that perhaps that portion has been repaired before and that's where the PO or previous PO drilled new lag bolt holes?

Interesting post. I remember my Westerner having multiple holes in the outrigger supports. I went back to my photos and found that on 5 of the 8 supports, two holes had been drilled. One actually had three holes. Two of the supports had multiple holes drilled to secure the middle floor joist. Practice makes perfect!

Just make sure the wall sits on the outrigger.
