It was my understanding that the Aljoa brand name was changed to Aljo (dropping the "A")in 1957, due to a legal settlement with Alcoa Aluminum. In this brochure it clearly states the Aljo brand name was "in use" as early as 1956.
Interesting that they offered to custom paint your new trailer to match any 1955 or 1956 factory car color for a small additional cost. There was a huge amount of really cool two tone colors being used on 1955-56-57 cars. How cool would it be to have a brand new Aljo trailer, that matched my 1957 Ford Ranch Wagon, where do I sign up? Dresden Blue, and White two tone. It matches the shade of blue used on the handicap insignia.
