Hi Cowcharge, there is a time limit on the edit function. We're working on adding time and enabling editing.
Once a thread or post is a certain age, editing can only be done by staff. In other words, old posts won't be able to be edited unless you request it. Part of the reason for this is lack of a lead post because of deletion. Once the lead post is gone, or important photos, we have to delete the rest of the thread.
Proboards 5 doesn't make it easy to save things, as we learned the hard way. We're trying to insure we don't lose everything again and understand Proboard 5 "rules". Thanks for being patient.
