I'm too new at this to really have any input but what are the most sought after vintage trailers? I see names like Aljoa, Shasta, Serro Scotty, Westerner, Safari, Sportsman, Mallard, Oasis, etc., etc. What is your "A" list for maybe, your top handfull of vintage trailers you've love to get your hands, umm, tools on ?

You're going to get a lot of opinions. The categories vary. Well constructed, most popular, rare and collectible, short, long, shapes, etc. Early years, beautiful wood interiors and small trailers seem to be the most sought after in my opinion and now seem to be the ones asking top dollar whether restored or falling apart. Some people just have their favorite preferences like Shasta or Scotty. Some have their favorite shapes, especially canned ham. Some look for that golden birch glow.

I'm all for the mid 50s Canned Hams, brand doesn't matter. I prefer framed walls as opposed to plywood... For *newer* trailers, I like the mid to late 60s retro Loflytes, Loliners and Land Commanders. A pointy nose, a little butt point, lookin' good. Also like a "wing" in the body shape: Let's face it, I like them ALL.

The most sought after trailers are the one's you can't seem to find. The most popular trailers are the one's people have.

Spartan, Boles Aero, Silver Streak, Streamliner brands have to be included in any "most desired" list.
IMO, the really cool trailers ended during the early 1960's, due to the cost of construction. Paneling went from real birch/ash/maple/mahogany wood, and hand applied finishes, to plastic and "wood grained" contact paper on "some kind" of composite panels. Lots of plastic started showing up in the 1960's, and everything was built like a box by the end of the 1960's.
The 1940's and 50's was the heyday for trailer building in this country.

Ahem!…. You forgot Mobile Scout… 1960 in particular. Not too many around anymore in my experience. Nice thing is, I already got my hands on one! It's on my A list. It has a great layout, not too big-not too small (14'+), well equipped. i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a517/sligobeach2/01010_8eXXxI4eygK_600x450_zpsc6d85741.jpg<a href="http://s1281.photobucket.com/user/sligobeach2/media/01010_8eXXxI4eygK_600x450_zpsc6d85741.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a517/sligobeach2/01010_8eXXxI4eygK_600x450_zpsc6d85741.jpg" border="0" alt="Exterior w/ added 'diamond plate' rock guard photo 01010_8eXXxI4eygK_600x450_zpsc6d85741.jpg"/></a> <a href="http://s1281.photobucket.com/user/sligobeach2/media/00V0V_k0sCcISLbAn_600x450_zpsde14cb0e.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a517/sligobeach2/00V0V_k0sCcISLbAn_600x450_zpsde14cb0e.jpg" border="0" alt="Exterior photo 00V0V_k0sCcISLbAn_600x450_zpsde14cb0e.jpg"/></a> <a href="http://s1281.photobucket.com/user/sligobeach2/media/d4471c1d-3030-428b-829c-e59c32439b09_zpsad4403d7.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a517/sligobeach2/d4471c1d-3030-428b-829c-e59c32439b09_zpsad4403d7.jpg" border="0" alt="Interior View photo d4471c1d-3030-428b-829c-e59c32439b09_zpsad4403d7.jpg"/></a>
