Oh yes, welcome Matt. And don't let us scare you. You can find everything you need to know here and if by chance you don't, ask and someone will have an answer for you. RJ has some great pics of his trailer before and after he took the skins off. Take a look at his recent thread. As John said, it has been discussed, and often comes up with newbies as to why you can't correctly replace the paneling from the inside. I will try to locate those discussions for you (and maybe we need a thread devoted to that.) In a nutshell here it is: Like John said, the trailer is built from the inside out (or the walls were built and then attached to the trailer) so the opposite operations needs to take place to take it apart. The panels go from the top to the bottom on the outside of the floor on most trailers, the skirting is over the paneling. The top is fastened to the edge boards on the sidewalls and the ceiling panels are under the edge boards. They are not built like houses where the paneling would sit on the floor. Exactly, basically the way they are constructed, the panels are a stressed structural part of the wall and contribute a good deal of the wall rigidity. It "appears" that you can just cut out the damaged panels and replace it, but you will not be able to securely attach it to the perimeter of the wall framing only working from the inside.

Hey guys finally got a chance to look the old camper over and the only number I could find was on a plaque on the wheel axle and it is A-117915 I've Google until my fingers hurt. Can anyone shed a little light on what they think the make of my camper is? Thanks.

The VIN should be somewhere on the tongue. It usually takes stripping to uncover the numbers and they can be very vague.
Don't think your trailer is an Aljo, the wheel well shape is too round. I'm also guessing that the door has been replaced, it is quite wide for an older ham. None the less, a nice trailer.

I'm also guessing that the door has been replaced, it is quite wide for an older ham. None the less, a nice trailer. I noticed the wheel shape, too and thought it wasn't an Aljo. Then I found some pictures with Aljos with rounded wheel wells. The space between the wheel well and door is different so thought maybe it's not. Overall shape looks right but marker lights are different and no Aljo badges. If it's not an Aljo, I'm sure someone here will be able to identify what it is. Here's a picture of a 57 Aljo.

Here's a 56 Aljo: And I'm "guessing" that the wheel wells were cut larger. My 56 was a PAIN to mount the wheels... I bought special bias ply trailer tires, narrower than most. We still had to flatten the new tires to get them to clear the hub. Actually, the rounded wheel wells look pretty good... Really nice Aljo in your photo, Jeff. The upper side clearance lights were probably added.

I just purchased a Shasta camper, serial number looks to be V-10760. It's pretty rusty but I'm sure that's what it says. Didn't get a title with it but I want to get a title for it. I have 2 questions, would anyone know what year it is? And is it possible to get a title for it? It has a motor home license plate that reads 58954. Thanks, signed the new kid.

Hello and Welcome, The ease or difficulty in getting a title varies by State. I would suggest you that use to following link to go to the Vin & Title threads and possibly search for threads about your State. It's very likely someone has already completed the journey you've just begun. Have fun!! vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/board/22/vin-titles
