Hi! I would like a spare rim for my camper and am having trouble locating a used one. I have called all the junk yards in the area with no luck. So now I am searching for new ones online, which is not going very well. I had seen a list somewhere with every old car that has the same size rim? does anyone know where that list is located? Im not sure if it was on this forum or not, I can't remember. Anyways it is a 13" 4 bolt pattern on a 4.5 Anytime I find one online it says sold out www.aapistons.com/collections/stock-wheels/products/4-lug-rim-silver-with-slots-4-130-4-5-wide

Thanks SuzieQ but that is a 4 on 4, so the holes are a half a inch too close together

Oops, sorry. Mine are probably the same. It's hard to measure them with them on the trailer so I'm not sure. Can't remember what the PO told me, but whatever it was, was wrong.

They were on old 60's Ford Falcons and you can find newer versions on the front wheel drive cars like the old 70's Dodge Omni and Plymouth Horizons. Might even check other cars like those like the Ford Escorts? Also; www.vintagetrailersupply.com/Wheels_Hubcaps_s/76.htmIf you don't see 4 bolt you can call there too. Soup

What would lead you to believe the wheel you show in the above website would actually fit any trailer?
This company sells "Chinese made" Volkswagen and Porsche aftermarket parts on the internet.
Wheels have many different dimensions, one of the most important is one called "back spacing". Most trailer wheels are built with "zero backspacing". The wheels you show have a large amount of positive backspacing, as would be found on a front wheel drive car like a VW Rabbit. "130" means, 130mm bolt circle, not 4.5". It's a 4.5" wide rim.

John, I was confused what the 130 meant , I don't think I had gotten that far in my thought process yet. My mistake, I don't know much about wheels, I'm learning as I go.

I'm not too wheel savvy, but here is a thread to the most standard spec info on first gen Compacts including tire size. oldtrailer.com/vintage-shasta-compact-trailer-specs.htmlI agree with Soup, that I thought I read the same rim on the Ford Falcon of the same year Compact (at least first-gen) was used and/or interchangeable. I found a very old established commercial trailer company in my area, and discussed rims for my '61 Compact with the "oldest guy there". He seemed to "think" Falcon rims would fit my Compact fine. Here is a thread to 1961 Ford Falcon specs which include info on tires and rim sizes for the 4 and 5 lug configuration. Notice offset (back-spacing) for both 4 and 5 lug rims is listed at 0 (zero), like johnpalmer has indicated. www.wheel-size.com/size/ford/falcon/1961/

Ford Motor Company used the same family of parts from 1960 up to about 1966. Falcon, Maverick, Comet, Mustangs, Cougars, etc. all used the same wheels, but you need to look ONLY FOR SIX CYLINDER cars for these wheels. Six cylinder engine cars were equipped with four lug wheels, and the V8 engine cars had the more popular 5 lug on 4.5" bolt circle wheels. You will find them on eBay, Craig's List, or at car parts swap meets.
One of the problems you will run into, is that for the past forty years these wheels were considered as "worthless" and they all went to the steel scrapper in China.
Many places build new wheels, but most are the more common five lug. Places to check for new wheels are eTrailer, East Marine, WheelSmith, Wheels Vintique, and many others.
Be aware that most "trailer wheels" will not accept a hubcap. If you have car wheels they have the nubs for the hubcaps.
