While not a collector per se I have my original 60's single mantle ice fishing Coleman still in great shape. I have recently acquired a Coleman 288D double mantle 'sunshine in the night' with a chrome base. number A47 (1947) with the big hat.. This is near mint and it will retro-ed for the 49 Trotwood. The goal is to put double 14 bulb LEDs one inside each mantle, run the wires up through the new hollow tubed hanger (to hide the wires) and hang the lantern above the table. The gas knob will be modified to become a dimmer for the light. The wiring will be such that I can disconnect it and quick attach a small 9V battery (like in your smoke detector) hidden in my hand so I can walk around with it, in the dark. This will be another original project modified to be current functional ( hate burning it on gas in the summertime in the camper). It's in the beginning stages now and I'll try to remember to post pics afterwards.

There is a 1970's(?) yellow 425E 2-burner stove in my area for $80 and a 1960's green 220E lantern with its box and original instructions for $60. Both look to be in good condition, but seem a bit high. What price range would you, as collectors, be willing to pay for these. They do not seem rare, but I haven't seen many that are lightly used like these. I don't have pictures, but they look to be in nice shape.

Look on e-bay to get a good idea of what their value is.

I did look, first thing...and it has a gold one listed for $110 and one sold with box for $215. I guess $80 isn't too bad of a price for the stove. The lantern with box should be around $40 it looks like. Thanks Goshawks! I have a nice pic of a Northern Goshawk I took while hiking a few years ago

That's awesome! It takes a lot of experience to get your falconry licence. You should post some pictures of your raptors in the "random photography" thread. I would love to see them!

Cool beans Fizzy. Thanks for that info. I haven't tried the two burner stove yet but I did try out the heater once and found that it has a little leak at the fitting so it's been sitting in the shed for some time now.
