This side is just about finished. Need to install the hubcap and trim ring. We had a couple of extra holes in the door so I put the TCA badge here. The cushions are reversible so when the grandchildren eat at the table (or some adults) there will be vinyl. Save

The trailer is coming together very nicely. One of my absolute favorites on the board here. When you take it out it will draw people like a magnet.
Where did you source the porch light and grab bar?

I found an original 1966 Missouri trailer tag. Missouri will let you use this tag if the number is not in use by another vehicle. Bargman light purchased on ebay. Bracket is a new Bargman. License plate reflectors belonged to my dad. Rear bumper painted and mounted. I have been cleaning butyl around the trim. Aljo emblem installed.

I am in Missouri also and tried to get info from DMV about using a vintage trailer license plate and was told I could not use on a trailer, only autos were allowed to use a vintage plate. I also have a plate I planned to use, can you tell me who you talked to about the trailer plate. To me, this is one of those distinguishing features that just adds to the finished product.
As a car guy, I am really impressed with your quality of work. Hope to see you at some point camping in Missouri, although you are WAY ahead of my timeline.

When I bought the tag I emailed the Missouri Dept. of Revenue and they said I could register the tag. I have submitted the application, I will let you know if it goes though. I know it takes several weeks to register a vintage car this way. Save

Sorry to hear that for sure. I was told that but having it in writing settles it. However, I do plan to put my vintage plate on the trailer. I will put my valid trailer plate over it while towing. I will come up with some sort of quick disconnect or even just bolt it with wing nuts to the bottom two holes on the plate while the vintage plate is bolted to the trailer through the top two holes.
Thanks for letting me know.

I could never photograph this side in the shop. Nice to see it outside. Decided to have a toast to the maiden voyage. (I have a great husband. I would not have been able to restore this without him.) Almost two years later.

Beautiful restoration. How did you clean the metal around your windows? I have a lot of windows to clean!! Thank you. I used Flitz metal polish with steel wool (0000 fine). I thought I would never get all of the aluminum polished. I would recommend rubber gloves. I wore cotton at first but my hands and arms started to get irritated and itch so I took a break then switched to rubber gloves. The original screws had rusted and left stains on the frames. I used a wire wheel on a drill to clean the holes up. The polish smoothed any light scratches made by the wheel. Save
