Busy polishing the aluminum. Using Flitz aluminum polish. I used a wire wheel on the tongue. Used the original coupler and replaced the jack. Finished with por-15 base and por-15 top coat. The finish seems very tough. Top tin installed, more trimming done today. We forgot about the running light wires. We were going to drill the holes before we stapled the top. Good thing my husband wrote down the measurements.

Found the wires. We had to gently pull back the tin and go fishing.

Is that metal from Hemet Valley RV? What thickness did you go for?

Is that metal from Hemet Valley RV? What thickness did you go for? Yes, it is from Hemet Valley RV. We got in a hurry and bought the tin early on before they offered the heavier gauge metal. I wish we would have waited. We were installing the tool compartment door and one slip of the screw gun caused a dent below. Save

Your resto looks really good! When you finally get it done you need to take some pictures with the shoe box!

We rolled out the roof and strapped it down today. Finished the front window today. One more to go!

Before. I finished polishing and putting my fan back together. I replaced the cord, cleaned up the body and polished the blades, seems to run well. The patent date is 1957. Save

Laying out the side stripe. The vent and hose are for a portable A/C unit that is in the closet.

That fan is killer. Walked up to a garage sale last weekend just as a guy picked up a smaller version of that which would have been perfect for a vintage trailer.
