How many gallons of Shellac to you anticipate going through. I am going to be replacing all of the birch in my Shasta and was trying to come up with a logical number of gallons of each amber and clear that I would need.

I will use about 3 gallons on 18 pieces of the birch plywood. I put on 3 coats of Amber Shellac. I am not going to put clear over it as I am pleased with the appearance of the amber. The cabinet faces will need refreshed. I am going to sand them and try the amber shellac. Not sure how it will match up to the new pieces. If it works, that will add more shellac to the total needed. A lot of the stained pieces will be covered so it is a waste to stain the entire piece but it will be nice to have the interior backing of the cabinets stained. I only stained 1/2 of the piece that went behind the shower.

Put up the back wall. Test fitting the bathroom door frame. Clamps are holding the veneer on the other side. Interior of closet that will never be seen. We have thin trim molding to put on the panel joints. Yes, the bathroom is that small!

You're doing a beautiful job with this restoration! Thank you for the pics and progress. My wife loves the turquoise.
