If you are in the Hunt for a Shasta Compact and money is no object, and taste is optional, this is one that appeared a few years ago on the old Vintage Shasta Trailer Forum. We had some fun discussing it then, so for those that remember it or for those seeing it for the first time...enjoy! austin.craigslist.org/rvs/4676050086.html

My Dad taught me, "if you can't say something NICE"... Vikx, itching to make a snide remark.

So far I guess I'm the only visionary...it's growing on me, but then I have never been drawn to the fancy vintage campers that shout...LOOK AT ME!!!...Subtlety is my middle name...

Just a few color changes and it would be a VERY nice trailer. The interior paneling looks like maple. Could be birch though. Hard to tell. I'd get rid of the diamond plate and replace it with normal metal. Get rid of the wheels too. You can sell those for $1000 which would take care of the cost of the new metal and paint. Then you would have a nice trailer.
Now you see the problems involved with making a trailer YOURS in design... If you go too far off the beaten path you may have a problem finding someone who agrees with your taste when you go to sell it.

Dang, it's gone. I wish we'd seen it, I have no doubt but that we commented on it last time. Well, apparently there is someone out there with more money than taste! But if it is structurally sound, lipstick can be removed. Just don't know how much I'd be willing to spend to remove it!
