This video was just uploaded by Indiana RV Dealer Mount Comfort RV. It's a walk through video with the President of Shasta. He talks about the 2015 Shasta Airflyte pretty extensively.

Did that rear bed next to the shower look a little short to anyone?

Yes. With the storage and bathroom, not sure where you are supposed to sleep 4 adults? And what is the actual price?

hmmm. it is going to be hard to resist getting the new side front windows! And the fake (led) gas lamp is an interesting touch.Looks like they shifted the adults to the front and kids to the back for sleeping - I really don't like that.

IMHO, FWIW, If they were going to copy the 16SC model for features, it may have been better to lay it out closer to that original plan. Although I like the touches they are adding to it, the concept of the Airflyte was to be more "stripped down" and lightweight....Rear bed is definitely shortened by the addition of the bath closet. Thing is, with the limited edition numbers, it will be an instant classic, and it will not be readily available.....now, nor in 50 years from now either!

One other thing that strikes me is they should make the clamp-ring windows available for the dinette sides....replacements from Shasta for the leaky old ones....sounds like a winner to me!

hope to score a few parts if they will sell them, screen door, Shasta emblem, maybe the new style windows, still not sold on them. the flicker LED light would be cool as well.

I emailed the dealer asking about the parts availability and received this reply:
They are still in the process of having these made. I would imagine as they become available for the production on the new trailers, they will be available for purchase by the current owners. My guess would be that that will be in the next few months. I will keep your contact info and let you know when that becomes available. Hmm. I'm thinking that they called it the Airflyte because that name is so much more familiar than 16SCS. There are some good things, but there is really no closet space at all. Why would you want to sleep 4 adults unless you can carry the stuff they need INSIDE the trailer. The Airflyte had a decent closet, so did the SCS. The other thing that bugs is way minor, but it's missing those iconic wedding cake rear lights. They REALLY couldn't figure out how to fit the new version with LEDs? Like that the windows will be jalousies where applicable and the mostly authentic screen door. Not sure about the flicker LED light. There is no LED that can substitute for the warmth and ambiance of a gas lamp. We have both in Hamlet. You can tow it with a minivan or small truck - well, you'll need something with a lot of space that's easy to get to, because you'll be running back and forth between the camper and tow vehicle to get all the stuff that won't fit inside it. Yes, it will be an instant classic. And the price really is quite reasonable (also like the original Shastas), but we'll hang onto Hamlet, thankyouverymuch.

From the look of the dinette windows, they won't fit the original "hole" on a real Shasta Airflyte...

Hi everyone,
I work at Mount Comfort RV and was the camera guy for the above Shasta Airflyte video. Shasta will begin producing only 1,941 (the year Shasta was established) of the Airflytes in about a month for a projected October delivery date. This is a one time thing, so if you have any questions, please email or call me and I'll do my best to answer all of your questions. We are accepting orders at this time in any of the three colors offered. Have a great day and happy camping!

Universal, I have a Shasta emblem I've been hanging on to until I knew of someone needing it. Message your address and I'll send it to you if you want it. It needs to be cleaned and chromed.
Eta: Thought I had a photo of it in Photobucket, but didn't see it. Will take and send you a photo of it tomorrow.

Welcome Stevejr4345! Thank you for offering to answer questions. The new Airflyte is definitely retro. Love the look and the wings. Wish the new windows would fit the old opening...

I love it. Its got the look with a lot of modern touches you would want nowadays. But I will keep my 62 for lots of reasons. Very cool though.
