My vamPLIERS finally arrived in the mail, and I'm ready to take off some skin. WooHoo! The problem is that I'm not sure where to start exactly.
The four pictures below show the interior panels that need to be replaced. The first two panels are located on the sides at the front with the windows. As the first two photos show, these panels have severe water damage. The front panel with the jalousie windows also has water damage, particularly at the seams with the two side panels and just below the window, but I'm not sure whether this front panel can be repaired or should be replaced.
The rear panel also has water damage, shown in the third picture, but again, I'm not sure whether it can be repaired or should be replaced.
The final two panels that must be replaced are on the ceiling. The first panel is located at the roof vent, and the second is located above the side storage cabinet and the kitchen wall cabinets.
There are several additional considerations. First, The floor seems completely dry and solid, so I do not think it needs repaired or replaced. Second, I would like to replace the entire flooring, which goes underneath the storage cabinet and the kitchen floor cabinets. Thus, these cabinets will need to be removed at some point, which I believe is easiest to do when the roof skin is off. Third, I want to completely replace the wiring. This includes the outside lights and the inside lights and outlets. And fourth, I think the very bottom of the wood frame street-side needs replacing. This is because the aluminum at the bottom had bent, allowing water to penetrate and rot the wood. Thus, at some point, the aluminum skins on the sides, below the seam, would need to be removed.
I watched several Mobiltec videos, which suggests to remove the skins piecemeal rather than all at once. But given these particular needs, in what order should I remove the skins? Do all the side panels, and thus all the skins, need to be removed to replace the side birch panels near the front, since they run from floor to ceiling?
Thanks for any guidance!
