I feel so much better after seeing these trailers. I am not doing a restoration on my trailer, she was too far gone for that, I was starting to feel bad after reading all the posts about retro dishes and period correct accessories. While stepping into my trailer won't be like stepping back in time, it won't be anything as drastic as these.
Some trailers, like mine, have been so hacked up that they are good candidates for a "renovation" rather than restoration. I love to see the intact trailers repaired by people like Mobiltech, the junkers, well, you might as well have a little fun! Cheri

Cheri Your trailer is yours so you do what you want to it. many of us in fact most of us make changes to suit our life style, needs, and wants. What most of the people are saying is if you want max resale dollars out of a canned ham you are better off to keep it original. I have built, rebuilt, and restored over the years but a current project is a 1968 Shasta 1500 that I am redoing for the personal use of my wife and myself. The interior is being changed to give maximum floor space, two comfortable beds, and a simple kitchen with microwave, toaster oven and portable electric burners, plus A/C. Our hope is to enjoy it as long as we are able then sell it for what ever it will bring, it is not a project to make money on but a project to enjoy. As far as retro dishes and glamping that is a totally different hobby/interest in its own, my wife says been there, done that now she plans on paper plates, plastic silverware and plastic glasses with a supply of trash bags. She says she has no plans on cooking big dinners while camping, she is planing on enjoyment rather than work.

Not my cup of tea but at least she had follow through! Nothing worse than someone with an idea that they do not see through.
With that being said, I'm keeping my mouth shut on my theme! This group is brutal! LOL And I'll be eating crow if I don't carry my theme out! HA HA!!

Yes it must have been a labor of love because I am sure it took a lot of time, planning, and thought. I could not ever imagine doing that but who am I. I say if its your dream build it. I offer kudos to her for completing her plan. Yep she's a real nice looker alright.... And the trailer aint all that bad either. Uhhhh, sorry to disappoint you, but her face is Photo-shopped onto someone else's body....
