Hey Everyone. Great site! I picked up this trailer about 12 yrs ago and I still not sure what make it is. It was stripped of all tags and lights, fridge, water tanks and toilet. Most of the framing and paneling had disappeared as well.It was really rough. Unfortunately all the before and after pics are lost on an fubarred hard drive. It also had no ownership.lol The only number I could find was from what may have been an old inverter of some kind.I had the number traced and it came up as an 63 Citation.lol Not sure what that is but it is not what I have.lol At least I don't think there were any Citation trailers in the 60.s It is now rebuilt well with some creative framing and is water tight.I painted it white but it still needs some color added to it.This is why I would like to figure out the make first. The interior looks just like a Shasta too. The aluminum siding is different from all Shastas or any other vintage make out there that I can find.So are the windows and the shape of the back panel.I did add the steel to the rear corners because they were mangled but I kept the shape as close as possible. Does anyone know what I have got?

Wow you tow that with a Bronco! I'd be afraid to do that around here. I have a Blazer and I don't like towing with that either. Nice looking trailer!

Highway towing on the hills up here (Northern Ontario) can get pretty hairy but there is a lot of great places to camp. Slow and easy is always best. The trailer has electric brakes but I still have to get them working. The trailer (that looks like a Shasta Astrodome except for windows, siding and the back end) is 18ft. and with the reconstruct has gained a bit more weight.

The rear end is different also.
Even at 55 mph anything I tow that has is longer than my Blazer get's to wabbling side to side. Boat trailers and small trailers seem to do just fine.

It's got a cool body! Like that little bustle on the back...
You might check the Sisters on the Fly Caravan photos to see if anything matches the siding, wheel wells and little butt bump...

Since you are Canadian... You may have a hold of one of the Canafian Shasta copies. They were the same but different. Try looking on kijiji at old trailers here in Canada. You may find it's twin!

Thanks ladywendolyn, I have been searching for years with no luck.lol I have found similar siding on some trailers but none the same. Its really getting depressing. I think I will strip the paint off the hitch area but I feel any numbers are gone with the rust that was removed. The back end may have been altered before I got it but no one but shasta came out with this shape of the cab over section, that I know of.

Use paint stripper first. Then wire brush if necessary. Even the most rusted of frames will usually show the VIN once the paint and rust is removed. And Shasta wasn't the only one who produced dome type trailers. Everyone copied Shasta in a lot of ways including Aristocrat. Some times I wonder who copied who in that case.

The rear wall is definitely not "Shasta", even though the size of the overhang looks like it is. There were several to look at form the time period, but I can't say for sure.

I'll keep my eyes peeled too! I'm wondering if it could be an old Glendale. The thick edging trim is the same as on the old Golden Falcons, (the second photo) as is your window edging. The glendales had a built in eyebrow that was part of the window, rather than one on top which I see your trailer has. Plus your wheel well looks the same as my trailer which is a 1966. Plus in the first photo which is a 1962 the strip on the side (it's taped off for repainting) looks identical almost to yours. Here is a photo of one of the members golden falcon. Not as exaggerated of a curve as yours, but his is a 69 or 70. Glendale were Shasta wannabes and had very similar features and lines with slight differences. They were built in Ontario. Unfortunately the factory burned down a couple of years ago and all records were lost. Do you have the VIN number? I will check it against mine and see if there are any similarities. If it is a glendale I have a some links to original logos etc. they even had there own style of wings on the back of the older ones.

And after a little looking... I just found this photo of a 1962 Glendale.. Also with the astrodome front cab thing..so it's a real possibility.

I have looked at the Glendales and my neighbor has a Golden Falcon.lol Wow this the first time I put these two pics side by side for comparison. Yes there many differences like the windows, back end,the length( mine is 18ft ),the siding, the wheel wells.... The over hang resemblance is near perfect. No I do not believe its a Shasta but its the closest thing I have found. I haven't even found a trailer with the same siding yet. Franklin, Kenskill, Metzendorf, I have been look at this 64 Fan but I never did alter the shape of what I had to fix on mine.I did add the lower half steel corners to mine because I had no trim left to try and straighten out and I did not trim any metal off the sides.I just straightened it out as much as possible.I think the siding is close on the Fan but still different. I'll find it one day. I haven't found the vin number yet, hopefully tomorrow.

Well, I got most of the tongue area stripped and brushed. There must have been six layers of paint.lol Not quite through it yet but I still see no sign of any numbers.A bit more paint to go. I also stripped the top and side of the hitch, still no luck. If its on the bottom I am out of luck, that is all pitted with rust I am wondering if they placed my propane tank plate over top of it? The slot head screws do look original.

Heard the bad news and I wish you the best mobiltec. Good Luck and I hope they find a cure for what ails you. I did and I stripped the tongue and front frame completely.Removed the propane plate as well . Still found nothing. No numbers at all. Its all repainted and looks great. I'll post pics later. I also have found nothing on early Citation trailers except for a French Kijiji ad from Quebec. Its for a 1963 Citation trailer. Its identical except for the bunkover and the faded decals.lol www.kijiji.ca/v-tente-roulotte/laval-rive-nord/roulotte-citation-1963/596754293?enableSearchNavigationFlag=trueAfter owning my camper for as long as I have (12 plus yrs) this is first proof I have found that my trailer is a 63 Citation. I have never been able to find another trailer like it.lol Its too bad that there is no history available on it. At least its no longer just a figment of my imagination.
