As far as glamping goes everybody likes to have there rig noticed, some of us are just willing to go a little farther than others.

Great posts. I don't think we are ever going to understand "glamping" the way women do. Bottom line, we're chronically immature and easily impressed by the dumbest things. We don't understand Glamping the way women can't understand Fishing. Bottom line, we think ANY camping is glamorous. And with beer and it's damn near Heaven. Wait, wouldn't Heaven+Camping=Heaving? ok, so I'm still working the angles out here... But women can't comprehend the joy of pretending that all the exploding bugs are X-Wings attacking the Death Star either. |

Nice! what engine, trans, and gear ratio you running? If it is half as mean as it looks it should make you a great truck. I love my extended cab Silverado it tows up to a 9600 lb trailer came equipped with brake controller and all coolers. It is a longer wheel base the yours but I think a Canyon or a Colorado would also be a good tow vehicle for our trailers.

it has the I5 5 cylinder engine, 242 Hp/242 FP torque, automatic with 3:73 gears, and a 6,000 pound towing capacity, should pull my airflyte fine.

Yes I don't think you will know it is back there. That I5 is a full grown mule, did you know they can be modified to put out over dble power and still live forever. I think you got a winner.

Mobiltec The only problem I see with that truck is it is way to nice to take rock climbing. I wouldn't want to scratch it if it was mine.

Very interesting camper, Larry! Interested in seeing more. I gotta tell ya I was thinking of keeping this one for myself until the eye injury happened. I have always thought about getting a dirt bike to run around in the hills with since gas went so crazy. The Blazer just sucks the gas down and now it sits around doing almost nothing. This would have made it possible to have my camper and bring the bike along too. |

I never got the fishing bug. Supermarket's got tons of fish just sitting there. I will drive the boat and drink beer, though.
I'm amending my definition of man-glamping to include practical items that are just a tad bit too practical and competent. You know the guy, the one who never leaves the driveway without checking the dates on the flares in the trunk. Bungee-contained 30-piece sets of grilling tools with spices in the handles are glamp-stuff. Hydraulically-operated paper towel holders that whirr out of the kitchen window over the retractable grill are definitely glamp-stuff.

People don't fish because they are hungry. They fish because of the thrill of catching a fish. The fight. The glory... Has nothing to do with food. I only eat the fish that if returned, would die anyhow. I really don't like fresh water fish very much and I catch and release as much as possible. I use barbless hooks to keep the damage down and the competitive level up.
