seeing his and other videos and how to clips is a huge confidence boost! As far as I have seen, most of the things that need to be done are simple-just busy work-or things that require a second set of hands...its surprising the many types of mediums that you have to become versed in...from carpentry to automotive suspension...I've done almost every type of the work-save propane and dealing with the thin wood skins/aluminum siding...I'm pretty sure I need some new tools...
but seriously, I don't think I can do much of the work this trailer needs due to all my other projects & hobbies-not to mention I have a classic car I'm already working on...oh yeah- and a 2 year old and a baby in august....
I'd love to have the time to do a total rebuild---ugh- and the money...At this point, I'm just glad I have a trailer period though...even as nasty as it is. I think having a house and kids makes you accept and even be grateful for some things that are way below your standards.

Just know that you do not have to have a completed trailer for the rally in October! In fact a few attendees last year encouraged me to bring my trailer in whatever state of restoration is was currently in. As long as it's able to be slept in, road worthy, & legal to tow of course! So don't feel like it has to be perfect is what I'm trying to say. Mine is not going to be perfect, although I'm going to try my best! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My husband was joking that we would arrive at a rally with the ugliest trailer and be scorned... Since Lodi is basically maxed out-and I'm thinking the waiting list probably wont work out- does anyone have any suggestions about where we could camp nearby?

That campground has cabins you can rent. My friends rented one last year. Small, but clean and you are still welcomed with opened arms by the VCT group! Maybe give them a holler and see if they have any suggestions for you? We swung by on our way home last year but know that even though our friends were only in a cabin, they were able to be involved with all the activities!

There are always openings at the start of a rally because of no shows. And most RV parks if that's what this is have an overflow area. That's usually where I end up. I have always brought an unfinished trailer because once mine are complete, they usually go away.
