Sorry for the major delay. Been relocating our woodworking business and it is taking way longer then I would have ever thought. greyeyesThere is a prefix letter or letters missing, so I really can't help much. If you can tell me where your Shasta 1500 was produced, that would be a big help. There should be a green metal badge next to the entry door. It will state where it was produced. moore21Your Shasta was produced in 1970, however, I can't tell you what Model you have. If you can give the length of the body of the Shasta, I can hopefully tell you the model. jcmoverYou are correct, Your Shasta Airflyte was one of the first to roll out of the Goshen, Indiana plant, in late 1958. The Goshen plant was the 2nd Shasta manufacturing plant, which I believed opened in mid to late 1958. nicholasebAlready PMed you with this info. Your Shasta Compact was produced in Goshen Indiana in 1970, probably within the last quarter.

SimonTuffGuyYour Shasta 1400 was produced in 1972, probably wasn't titled and sold until 1973.

Hello Ross, Newbies here! We are looking forward to the journey... My wife I recently purchased a Shasta, I believe it's either an Astroflyte or an Astrodome. The Vin tag says P-1613. Would you be able to tell me the year and make of this camper? Also this camper appears to have been all white it's whole life (with a silver stripe). Were not all Shasta's two-toned? Thank you for any information you may be able to provide. Paul

paulvermont , Welcome aboard. I can't say for sure what exact info your VIN carries, except that your Shasta was built in Leola Pennsylvania. 1613 was a fairly early build for the plant, but I can only guess at the year it was built. The Astrodome and Astroflyte were built between 1960-1964, and both models had the bunk that hangs out over the tongue of the trailer. The difference was, the Astrodome had a bathroom in it, the Astroflyte was built without. They were the counterparts to the 16SC, which had the bathroom, and the Airflyte, which did not. I own a 1964 Airflyte which has the same white-over-white color scheme, not all were two-toned exteriors. The stripe was polished bare aluminum. vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/8847/replacement-shasta-astrodome-16sc

Ten, thanks for the information. Definitely an Airflyte as there is/was no bathroom that I can tell (the inside has mostly been robbed for parts over the years). We are thinking of doing it "as we would like it". My wife and children will be disappointed if we don't do two-tone. Me, I'd rather go original, at least on the exterior, but some of us know how that goes in a family ruled by democracy...

Hello,
I just bought a vintage trailer, 1967 Shasta Compact (at least that's what it appears to be). The VIN is P10361. Is there a way to find out more information on this trailer?
Thanks- Mike

My Shasta Vin is P6734. The seller and title say it is a 1966 but I am not confident in this as they also said it was a 1900 Deluxe and turned out to be a Model Twenty. If you could provide the actual year she was built, I would be most grateful.

We just purchased our little Shasta. No idea on model or year. The only number I can find is on the top of the tongue, S11142. The people we bought it from are still looking for the title. It has set for a long time without use. If I knew how to post a picture on here I would. Hopefully we won't have to much trouble titling it if they can't find it.

youngbloodhawk I really need the first of the two prefix letters, but I believe that you have a Shasta 16SCS, which was produced in 1963. If you have time, use a wire wheel on the tongue and see if both prefix letters become visible. I also believe that the full vin is FS21817-PA3381. paulvermont Based on your Shasta Airflyte's vin, it was produced in 1963, in Leola Pennsylvania. Thanks @ten for figuring out which model they had! count17 Your Shasta Compact was produced in 1968, in Leola Pennsylvania. freebird Looks like your Shasta Airflyte was produced in 1959, in Goshen Indiana. stephjmoore Your Shasta Twenty was produced in 1966, in Leola Pennsylvania. eightlttlkitties Based on your Shasta's vin, it was produced in 1974, in Colombia South Carolina. I'm going out on a limb and saying that you have a Shasta Compact......this is based on when your Shasta was produced. It looks like Compacts were the model being built for a good part of 1974. If it is a Compact, the body should be about 10' long....13' or so, bumper to tongue.
