Ross, I’m new to this forum. I’m trying to determine the year of our camper. It’s a Compact. The build plate next to the door says Goshen Indiana. Vin number is V14507. We were told it’s a ‘60, but it has amber front marker lights. Also, it has weird wheel openings. I can’t figure out how to post pictures. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated!

jay64Looks like your Shasta Compact was produced in 1963. As for posting pictures, I use Google Photos and upload from there.

Thank-you Ross! We really appreciate your trouble! We’re trying to title it. I’ll try to do the photo thing. I don’t understand the wheel openings. They look factory, but are sort-of a little less than half round. Thank-you again!!

I currently have over 375 Shasta Vin's and would love to add your Shasta's VIN Number and Model to the database. This really comes in handy for helping others date their Shasta's. Those of you who would like to share your info, you can either post it here or PM me with the info. I am only looking for the Year, VIN# and the Model of your Shasta. This Database list is not published or available to the public. There are some Shasta owners that don't want their Vin#'s made public and I value their privacy. I really appreciate your help with this and thank you very much. Ross Staff Note: If possible, when seeking information, please add a photo with your inquiry to aid in identification.
Hi Ross-we recently purchased a Shasta Astroflyte and know it was made in Goshen, but not much more. could you help us out? V 16148

cmetzbowerLooks like your Shasta Loflyte was produced in 1969. Thank you!! Do you know if these models were produced without the large wood floor support beams? I looked under the trailer and couldn’t see any and by the door, all I could see was multiple layers of plywood.

The 1970 Compact that we rebuilt, had a 2" x 3" fir supports at the extreme front and rear of the floor, which were covered in roofing tar, as well as the entire underside of the 1/2" plywood floor. Not really sure what type of floor system was originally in our 1970 Starflyte, being that it was completely gutted and the PO had started the rebuild. Sorry that I couldn't be more help.

The PO planned on rebuilding it and never started. He sold it to me for $95. I’m gonna do a complete rebuild. I’m going to try to keep it looking as original as I can.
