Glad to be back! We grew up in Charlotte and moved to the mountains back in 2001 for a better way of life .Now that our daughters have started their own lives and in different cities, we needed to at least be half way between each of them. Makes it easier to visit!
All the years that we have lived here, not once have we been to the gold mines....go figure....
Bo and Susan Gypsy Von Shasta (your 16SC was born in 1963) tiajannet stag211 ( the vin# you listed isn't a Shasta vin#, sorry) falconwagon1962 ( you have an Airflyte, I believe, with out seeing pics and born in 1960) sbchamps3702 (your Compoact was born in 1966) cindysnoopy (your Compact was born in the latter part of 1964) liz ( I believe you have an Airflyte, born in 1959) gettinolder donnymp (without more info, the only possibility would be Indiana in the early 70's) erklar (You have a 1500, born in 1954, probably towards the end of 54') hannahjean ( you do have an Airflyte, born in 1964, in Indiana) boandsusan ( thanks for the update on your Airflyte Deluxe) pierce ( your vin# shouldn't start with the #5, sorry) kolob ( 1959 Airflyte, born in Van Nuys, Cal. There should be "B and either a 5,6 or 7 at the end of vin)
Thanks again, I will get caught up on the PM that were sent over the past several months.
Hi Ross, I just registered. My name is John and I have purchased a new project. The title that I received states that I have a 1969 Shasta "travel trailer" no Identifier or model name. I believe, from all that I can find online, that its a 17' STARFLYTE. The vin# is P14632, could you help me out and add me to your database? it's not completely ragged out but it is missing quite a few things. I hope to be camping in it this summer. note the word HOPE. Thanks in advance. JP
This is my first of many to come posts. I just picked this baby up and need to figure out what the Vin is and what the model and year are. I sure am looking forward to getting to know all of you.
The tag welded on the inside of the tongue is 21539
After a lot of paint stripper and the old scribbling with a pencil on paper over the number trick I got this on the curb side of the tongue rail. FS21539 FA2674
She hasn't been licensed since 87 and the original owner died 5 years ago. I saved it from the guys son who was going to crush it. I live in Washington state 5 miles south of Seattle if there are any other Shasta owners that would like to have a beer and talk shop let me know.
What is it and thanks a bunch.
It's not how you are, It's how you are with how you are.
Thank you, restoguy. Based on the Vin#, it looks like you have a 1964 Shasta and based on your picture, I agree that you have a 1500. The manufacture's badge, by the entry door (under the grab handle) should say Simi, California? If not, where was your Shasta produced?
Thank you, Barry. Based on your Shasta's VIN#, it was born in the middle of 1968. Probably sold in 1969. Could you post a picture of your Shasta or do you know the model that you have? As for knowing the previous owners........all I track is the Shasta Vin#'s, Models and the Manufacturing Plants. I do not keep any personal info when the Vin's are given to me, not even the person's name who gave it to me. I respect everyone's privacy.
I do advise others, if they know the history of their Shasta, previous owners, States it has lived in, to record that info and keep it in a scrapbook.
Titles may not have been required on your Shasta, way back when and depending on the State. There are a few States that don't require trailers to have titles and years ago, trailers were never issued a title.
