After sitting for the last year+ the tires on our '64 Airflyte look pretty shot. I have a couple of questions on how to replace. 1. While I am replacing the tires, seems like a good time to do any wheel work. They are showing some rust. Would the best course of action be to prime and then paint (Rustoleum or equivalent)? Is there another technique that is used? 2. The tires that are currently on the trailer have 225/75R15 on them. Does this sound right? Would a tire like this Tire Link work? This is a new area for me, so help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, From a vintage trailer guy located in Santa Ana, CA. It's good to see lots of activity here.

You might want to take a look at what has already been written about this subject. Go to Home, then drop down to something like Brakes/Wheels/Undercarriage. You will find a lot of information.

Do as John says and be sure to notice where it says to use trailer rated tires.
