I love it... BUT... I have a feeling that the ones like that are more likely to break off when travelling in high winds... I almost bought one kinda like that but then changes my mind due to the wind issue..

True, LadyW. The glass looks rather thin and vulnerable!

They used to make cool porch lights that plugged in when you arrived at the campground... Very neat light, too much wind resistance.

I have some cheap LED awning lights and haven't needed a porch light but it would be handy. I put then on an outside auto dusk/dawn switch on the extension cord . On our last trailer I ran led Christmas lights up under the perimeter of the trailer so you couldn't see the light bulbs. The Astrodome really looked light a spaceship then! It was really handy when setting up in the dark. The Airstreams wire a switch to there trailer running lights. I kinda like that idea too. You could also tuck a light up under the door eyebrow/visor.

We are doing an exterior light above the door with the switch inside. Also adding a license plate light and a small light in the front for lighting up the hitch and landing gear, for those times you get in late. Not sure of the look we want yet, but hoping to keep it both vintage AND functional at the same time. Universal, I found some lights like yours at Target last spring that were round colorful bulbs and solar. Not sure how bright they will be tho. I love the owls!!
