I'm using 3/8 OD 25 foot coils bought at the local hardware store. It's not as thick as the original stuff; I use original whenever possible. This is the same stuff used in new RVs. I believe another name for it is "refrigeration tubing". www.doitbest.com/Copper+tube+and+pipe-Mueller+B+K-model-D06010P-doitbest-sku-446386.dibLook to the right, there's 3/4 type K advertised. Click on that and it will take you to this K type tubing. "Type K, extra heavy wall for underground service"

K copper although more expensive will stand much more vibration and abrasion than standard copper, so you have to make a choice be safer or go cheap.

As john said use black pipe for the exterior lines with a flexible gas line from regulator to tank and copper inside the trailer. Make sure nothing is going to rub against the copper as you drive also secure it to prevent motion induced flexing as much as possible. If running inside walls make sure not to puncture the copper with screws or nails.

I'm going to drive over tomorrow and pick some up. A length for my wife's Compact, and a nice chunk for my next project. Thanks for the replies everyone.

Black pipe "under the trailer", copper "inside". John Palmer do you have a photo of what this looks like with the black pipe underneath the trailer? I'm preparing to lay out all of my lines for fitment, and I'd like to see what the black pipe set-up looks like in place.

Every day I go out and hope to just complete one task, no matter how small. Some days are better and more productive than others. I have a lot of little tasks to check off the list, and then still tackle all three of the systems (propane, electrical and water). I'd post pictures if I had much to update, haha.
