I'm replacing the glass in a window, what is the best thing to use to set and seal?

Get the seal from a glass shop. It's usually black and very, very sticky. Windex the seal before setting the glass so it can be positioned just so. Then the glass clips hold the glass against the seal. Hope this helps.

I usually drop the whole window off at the glass shop due to not wanting to take chances on a leaking window later on new interior wood. The shop never really charges that much to do the work even if new glass is needed. The only glass I replace myself is slats in jalousie windows. They are easy and usually cost less than $10.00 with the edges ground on all 4 sides.
