Are they really vintage? Linoleum or asbestos? Says linoleum but looks like asbestos. If they aren't really vintage-
Since they don't make 9 inch tiles anymore, these are either cut down from 12x12's or a solid sheet. The reason they don't make 9 inch tiles is because asbestos tiles were 9" and that makes it easy to identify non-asbestos tiles. The industry standard changed once it was discovered, or made public, that asbestos was a health hazard.

Lead paint tastes WAY better than latex. When my dad repainted the house, there weren't any good chips left to eat.

The asbestos usually exists in the mastic. Even if they were full of asbestos, it only releases when they're broken or cut like Vikx said.
