Hamlet's doesn't show because the picture we used for our avatar on VTSF is "too large" for this forum. Ah well, we'll figure it out eventually.

After working on these trailers, you should pretty well know the answer to "crazy" or not....

Hamlet's doesn't show because the picture we used for our avatar on VTSF is "too large" for this forum. Ah well, we'll figure it out eventually. This is because Hamlet is just larger than Life! I thought that you had an avatar working on here already? I do miss seeing Hamlet's smiling demeanor when you post.... You can use "Paint" in Windows to scale the photo file size down so that the photo will fit. I did mine that way, but I forget the procedure...Computer savvy? Not so much.... I should have some time to play later today and I'll try to let you know how....

I'm working from a MacBook. There are some things that I absolutely adore about these computers, but having started my computer career in the DOS prompt era and using only Windows at work, there are things with i photo that I am certain can be done, but I don't have either the time or the energy to figure them out. Sigh.

"DOS prompt"?? I think I saw one of those in a museum once...
I know absolutely nothing about using Mac systems, but I know there is a photo editor built into the Windows viewer program any more. I haven't used it any, but would think that managing file size is a fairly "basic" task (...see what I did there??...) I remember that in history, the Apple systems started out much more graphics-oriented, and would just assume that manipulating a file size has to be built in somewhere...just a W.A.G. of course....

No ones avatar is showing up on most of my threads. Any ideas on how to fix this? dsadki, I'm not sure why you do not see ANY avatars. I know there was a day back when we first started migrating over I didn't see any either and then they just showed up and stayed so I never looked into it any further. I'll do some research and see what I can find out. In the meantime, try this: Press these two keys simultaneously > "ctrl" + "F5", to get a full refresh of VTT on your browser. Hamlet's doesn't show because the picture we used for our avatar on VTSF is "too large" for this forum. Ah well, we'll figure it out eventually. Hamlet, since yours is "too large" to upload to ProBoards, try uploading it to your Photobucket account and linking to it. Go to your "Profile" page > "Edit Profile" > choose "Use only the Uploaded/Linked" enter a URL in "Avatar URL" > click "Link Image" > and then "Save Avatar Changes". You don't need to resize it as the forum code will display it the proper 150x150; see if this helps.

No ones avatar is showing up on most of my threads. Any ideas on how to fix this? Also, and this may sound simple and a bit silly, but do you have avatars enabled in your profile settings? "Profile" > "Edit Profile" > "Settings" tab > choose "Yes" under "Show Avatars". Seems some other ProBoards members have found their avatar display settings were defaulted to "no".
