So birch is out of the question, mine is a 69 compact, what else do you all use for ceiling panels? Original was 3/16". Considered the smooth white shower board at the orange box, i know this looks kinda cheap, well more than kinda, or thinking of a good plywood in 3/16, just not birch or ash, its not in stock anywhere close, and not willing to pay 45$ a sheet for something i cant see before i buy.

Is that the thin sheet, like 1/16 inch? I had considered it for the texture but wasnt sure with it being so thin.

yep, I gorilla glued it up and it has a screw with a white cap over it ever 2 square feet. but I have the original ceiling under mine. so you will need some kind of 1/8 inch wood under it.

Really appreciate seeing those pics. Considering same ceiling, the birch cabinets and trim give it some of the original feel, like that! Seems like the stuff I looked at Lowe's was 1/8" though.

Anybody else used the frp for the ceiling? How's it holding up? Any regrets?
