While waiting for warmer weather I am tracking down the missing parts for my trailer. The door has a handle on both sides but no guts. I have a few questions... - does anyone know offhand which lock this is? If not is there a way to find out? -can you replace the guts with another brand as long as they fit? -how do you determine the fit?

I'm sure one of the experts here will recognize it for sure. It looks like a Bargman 200 lockset to me. Are there any numbers stamped behind that plate? VTS used to have them but don't think they do anymore. And they are pricey on ebay. IF that's what that is. I am no expert.

Rick do you know where I would look for that?

It is definitely a Bargman L-200 lock. I tried to post a image using the tool bar but it is not posting so here is the link to a picture of one: linkSend me an email directly to me and I will send you a pdf of the exploded view of the the Bargman l-100 AND l-200 Lock. This is for both the Bargman L-100 and L-200 models. Good thing about your current lock is that there are Rebuild kits for your model. I have them but one word to note, there is no lock cylinder include in these kits. If the cylinder is not damaged, you can have a locksmith make you a key. Link to Pdf of Exploded view: linkHere is my email: linkLet me know if you have other questions. Rick

I tried to go to that link, but it didn't work for me. Thats ok, I trust that you know your stuff. It looks to me like the lock cylinder is still in the handle is there any way to check that? Should I take off the knob and disassemble? Also, when I first spoke to you, I did measure the lock inset off of the door. The centre of the lock handle appears to be 2.5 inches from the door. If this seems correct for the one you are telling me about, could you private message me the details on the cost etc. for the repair kit. Thanks
