Danny, I'm on my iphone app so your location doesn't show up. I can't remember, are you around the North Carolina or South Carolina? I'll keep an eye out if you are willing to travel as far as Georgia.

Welcome Danny! I sent you emails about some trailers I found online. Did you get them? Good Luck in your search. Kim B Kim,I did receive your Emails,,I really have my heart set on a early Shasta but might have to settle for a later model,,don't want a big trailer because we want to pull it with our 1954 Ford "Ranch Wagon". Can you imagine that electric green Shasta behind the wagon?,,That trailer is nice but I couldn't live with the color. Apr 3, 2011 at 9:05pm Post by hotrodprimer on Apr 3, 2011 at 9:05pm Some day in the future I hope to use this wagon to tow a nice old Shasta,, It's a 1954 Ford "Ranch Wagon" and has been a member of my wife's family since it was new. This car was purchased new by my wife's grandmother and used in her flower shop business until it was replaced by a VW van. Then my father-in-law used it as a camping/hunting/fishing car. Then we got our hands on it and it ended up sitting in the barn for over 20 years. I have been working on this car on and off for 8 years now and hopefully I can wrap it up by the end of this year. If your interested there is a comprehensive collection of deconstruction and repair photos along with some information on the repairs up to date. public.fotki.com/hotrodprimer/hotrodprimer-1/

Danny keep looking one of these days the perfect one for you will fall into your lap. My wife and I rode thousands of miles watching for the "one" and one day was just on the way home by a different route not even really even looking for a trailer and my wife says there is one behind that barn turned around went back the people were out in the yard so we pulled in ask about it and found out it had been parked there for 12 years since it had been used, to make a long story short $300.00 later we towed a project home only 5 or 6 miles.

Are you looking for a project or more of a camp ready. I troll Craigslist ALOT! Truthfully,it really doesn't matter if it's what I'm looking for,I prefer the late 50's smaller Shasta's mainly because of the fond memories I had camping with my grandparents in their 1956 Shasta, but I haven't had much luck finding that particular type here in the South. I found a few out west and in California that needed rebuilding that were priced fair but transportation drove the price through the roof.

Touch base with DrBob up near Boston and Fletcher at Fletcher's Trailer Sales in Trumansburg, NY. They are both a good drive for you but seem to find the rare ones on the east coast at reasonable prices. I'll keep an eye out around Georgia. I would love a late 50s 1400 or 1500, like Vikx Sundance so our Deluxe could have a matching little sister. I have too many projects currently, according to my wife, and I want to stay married. so I'll pass on anything I find. The hunt is a little addicting.
