I talked to a guy tonight that has a mid 50's canned ham Shasta, the style I have been holding out for several years and it's going to need a total restoration but I think I'm up to the task.
It doesn't have a title but I'm not going to let another one get away like I did a few years ago.
This style didn't have wings but that's fine with me.
I'll post photos tomorrow if all goes well. Danny

Be careful with a trailer that has no title. Depending upon the state you reside in, you may not be able to title it in your name. Lots of hard won experience on this forum concerning this topic.

Yes,I am well aware of the potential problems in purchasing a Camper without a title but the price is so reasonable if nothing else there is a lot of salvageable materials that will recoup my investment.
It is probably the same kind of PITA as getting a title for a old car but I have crossed that road many times in the past.
The early small mid 50's Shasta's just don't pop up here in the south too often.

I hope you're able to get it! Hopefully everything will go smoothly at the DMV. Okay, so it probably won't go smoothly, but maybe it won't be a total PIA.

Danny, I have followed the build on your 1954 Ranch Wagon on another site.
I'm sure you will have no problem rebuilding a Shasta, after you find the correct style for your needs.
Good hunting.

Well boys & girls, the search has come to a end. I am finally a Shasta owner,,I know it's rough, the stove is missing along with some other odds & ends and it needs total restoration...but it's exactly what I was looking for and I'm as happy as a kid on Christmas morning. This is basically the same style Shasta my grandparents had when I was a kid. Here are a few photos. Interestingly enough the camper was green & white, the previous owner painted it with latex paint and it's peeling. Danny

Hooray! At least the graffiti isn't satanic. It looks blessed. A real fixer upper, can't wait to see what you do with it.

Thank each and every one of you for your support. I hope to get the camper home soon. I am looking forward to pressure washing it,cleaning all the trash and clutter out and start formulating a plan. It's gonna be a fun project and Brenda is just as excited as I am to get started. I don't know about you guys but I completely rebuilt it in my dreams last night! BTW,Barbara,do you have any more photos of your camper posted anywhere? Danny
