After some extensive searching I have come across an origional photo of a glendale trailer the same vintage and model as mine. Boy are they hard to find. Well it turns out that they had wings on the back. Not quite the same as a shasta wing, because they have a circle with a fancy G on the front of the wing, but I am thinking now that a number of small trailer companies were copying the Shasta's back in the day. There was even a birch magasine rack with a letter G in it instead of an S. So my question is… does anyone have a source for having the custom wings made? I am thinking that I could send my picture to them, and they could make me an approximate reproduction. If not, has anyone tried constructing them yourself? Thanks Lady W

Sure.. here it is.. The "wings" were partly painted, and partly three demential, I am guessing that this was because they did not want to be sued by Shasta. What I am going to have done is have an actual three dimensional wing made, with the circle as part of it, and then I have a contact with a guy who makes custom Chrome emblems etc, and I will get him to make the round trim for the circle, and the stylized G, to mount onto the three dimensional wing. What you are seeing is the actual outline of the wing taped off just before a repaint job on the trailer. It belongs to a lady in southern Ontario, but I have not been able to contact her, but I did find these photos.. the only other Glendale online, and the only one with some original parts. It's a great find for me because it helps me to see what mine should look like when its back together.
