Look what I got the other day! 67 Aristocrat Land Commander with a small potty room. Very little rot showing. Should be a fun build. Attachments:

Aristocrats came with a cargo door on one side or the other. Most of the time,it was used as a battery compartment. This trailer has wiring in place for one, so I'll re-do it and put a battery back. This one is a BIG hunk-the tongue looks sturdy enough to tow a battleship. Trying to start a picture site now.

I like that body shape best to work on. Easier cutting angles on wooden frame sticks. No need for a band saw for curves on that one either. Frame sticks are all 1" thick. Once you get all the tricks down on that body shape, they are a cake walk compaired to others. Good Luck to ya and have fun, I know I would. soup

I would have bought that JUST for the turquoise appliances. Nice. Looking forward to the rebuild photos.

Site is updated as I go. Saved almost all of the original paneling. Not my choice in color but kinda retro cool. People coming to check it out on Weds... 67landcommander.shutterfly.com/

Nice find, Vik.....I SWEAR that Aristocrat trailers were build by disgruntled ex-Shasta employees...there are WAY too many similarities between the two companies.

LOL Shastabear...
Aristocrat was in a murderous dual with the Shasta Company. I was fortunate enough to know Neal Vonada (Von's Trailer sales in Seattle) via the Aristo forum. His best friend was Irv Perch! The history that Neal talked about was amazing. They even boated a couple of trailers to Hawaii in the day.
My 3 Aristocrats were very well built compared to Shastas. However, mine were all mid 60s rather than earlier canned hams. And they all had VONS stickers! Yeah, man.
