Well, i now have the skin back on my 69, least thats what im callin it now. I was sittin here thinkin about a few things on it. Ive seen somewhat how the beds work in these with the slide out sides, still dont have that one exactly figured out how shasta worked that one......but what was wandering, what the heck are ya supposed to do with the table when the beds are slid out. the campers i have messed with have always incorporated the table into the bed. not like you have much room in a compact to put it many other places than outside

we made a pair of plywood pieces that span the gap between the benches, because the table was narrowed slightly and will not fit , now we put the table on the floor, put the two plywood slats in place and slide the benches flat.

The table slides on the floor under the made down bed for storage. We cut three slats to hold the bench cushions to make the bed.

The miracle won't be when we finish, the miracle is that we had the courage to start.

Hamlet made some special legs, I believe, there is a post on how they put it together. Pretty nifty.

Hamlet made some special legs, I believe, there is a post on how they put it together. Pretty nifty. Yes, we did. We use the table, turned sideways with four equal length legs that snap onto the underside and store just in front of the street side wheel well when not in use. In order to get the full width of a double bed, we added another "table" that goes under the window, two shorter legs stand on the wood that goes across the floor in the back and two the same length as for the other table. Those legs also store next to the wheel well (the legs fit the space perfectly) and the smaller "table" fits nicely upright in the little closet when not in use. We pull the benches out just enough to make it all one large flat space (about 3-4 inches for each bench), and the whole thing goes from dinner to dorm in about three minutes. The bottom sheet is a regular full size bed sheet, the pillows (four of them) get stuffed into pillow covers and act as bolsters in the daytime. We keep the down comforter in a zip bag under the table during the day unless we have company for dinner, then it goes in the back of the tow vehicle for a couple hours. Here's the post nepohyte was talking about... the bed part is toward the end. www.howiseelife.com/blog/2011/06/20/trailer/
