She's a 1963 Airflyte, near perfect ORIGINAL condition inside and out. There's a little evidence of leaking around the two front side windows, skin good, all systems good, original upholstery, etc, etc. She's had two owners and lived in a barn most of her life. Our friends think we've lost our minds but my husband is even more smitten with "Big Sister" than I am! (We drove 1300 miles--one way--in winter conditions and burned four days of vacation to get her.) Lula Belle, the Compact, is just too small/short for him. We plan to finish the Compact's restoration and find a good home for her before turning our attention to the Airflyte.

nice, but we are going to need more pics. ...AGREED! There is certainly not enough evidence that any of this actually happened. I do not know how it happens this way, but this is the second or third story of a beautiful old one like it that was a single- or maybe second-owner. For some reason they seem to travel in groups through the cosmos.... You are absolutely going to adore the feel of the Airflyte! They seem like such a unique and comfortable space. You now have the pairing that I am looking to end up with, hoping to add a '64 Compact to the stable some day!

Amazing. One of my viewers just informed me of a 59 Airflyte barn find she picked up which is close to mint condition. She just wants to do a few little things to it like polish the stripe...
I'll start another thread so as not to hijack yours.

You will love the floor plan of the Airflyte. It is nice to be able to keep the back couch made out as a bed all the time and still have the front dining area.

Beautiful! Be sure to store her undercover. Very special. Vikx, We definitely plan to store her under cover. She's actually stored in my dad's barn in a different state. We dropped her there on our way back to New Mexico. We didn't want to take any chances on weather damage before we had a chance to really check everything out, replace dried out butyl tape etc. My husband posted photos of her in her new nest on a thread he started: vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/1365/name-yas?page=1&scrollTo=13498We plan to make permanent storage arrangements near home before we move her. Universal & Ten, I promise more photos but I didn't take many as we were racing to get home to jobs, etc in front of some weather. I do have a pretty nice one of her original gaucho bed. Dsadki, I think you're right -- we think we're going to love the Airflyte's floorplan.

Wow, I dont think I have seen an original camper in that nice of shape inside, take lots of pics, these are great for reference for a lot of topics, what is original? where does this go? did all campers have this? etc.
