Hello All,
Just bought a late 70's Shasta and am having some trouble figuring out what the VIN is. This is what I have as maybe's: 1. 01P002835 2. 1P002835 3. P002835
Trailer is Pennsylvania, and believed to have been there all along. The 6 digits are for sure. And the "P" precedes the digits for sure. So, is it #1, #2, or #3??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Rick

So, if I apply for a lost/stolen title in PA, that's what I'd put in? P002835?
I have pictures of the Shasta, but don't see how I can attach in this forum.
I do not know a model.
How tough is the process to retrieve a lost title?
thanks for any help you can give.
Rick

You can upload them to photo bucket, then post the link to the post. It might be helpful to, that way the members here can tell you what model it is and can get close to the year. On trick on the vin is to try to pencil etch it on a piece of paper . If it's covered with a lot of paint, use a hand wire brush and try again. If that doesn't get all the lnumbers clear a soft wire on an air die grinder brings the out good, just don't use a lot of pressure. Also, on the curb side of the tounge, instead the channel, there may be a small plate welded on with the vin as well. You will want to make sure the numbers are exact before applying for the title. Research PA registration site and they can tell you the process for applying and what you will need. Good luck, and welcome to the addiction

I have a Tini-Home trailer manufactured by Michigan Airlines trailer division. It has been sitting in my yard for years. Thought I'd get around to restoring it, but decided to sell. The serial number on the plate says 81454. Thought it was late 50's but need some help researching date and appraisal costs for sale. Can you help?

There are so many trailers out there and each manufacturer had a different way of numbering the VIN. We could probably tell more with some photos of your trailer.
