Hello VTT
We can’t set up anything yet as the campground is closed for the winter and are not taking reservations for next year, till April.
My wife and and I are shooting for sometime in fall of 2024.
We have never done anything like this so any suggestions would be appreciated.
I do know that this Campground does not have a shelter to host an events.
Our plan would be very simple and an evening get together to showcase trailers at a determine day and time.
This campground is located right on the river and is good trout fishing.

Hi Friends, I think this is great what you are doing, Jim! I will suggest you organize one or two gatherings during the rally where people can mingle for the rally where everyone can come together. Here are some ideas for group activities I have seen at rallies. Give everyone a purpose to come together like a theme. Maybe Halloween if in October. Costumes and decorating your trailer for Halloween Themed - activity - fishing if a river/ lake is nearby. Game night - card games/board games/ corn hole competition, etc. See if VTS will offer up a prize or two to the winner Potluck - one meal (lunch, dinner or even breakfast) and maybe another for desserts Hootenanny - if there are enough people with instruments/ sing along. Sometimes it just takes one who can play a guitar Group campfire - if your numbers are low, people can meet at your campsite fire pit and bring a chair Happy hour type of thing - maybe with at theme like everyone wears overalls or Hawaiian shirts, hats, etc. A mix of some of the above? I am sure others can supply more ideas. You will want to encourage people to greet you when they arrive. Maybe have them come to your campsite to "check in". Open houses are generally seen at larger rallies. The vibe at smaller rallies for me has been you just ask to see the inside of someone's trailer and it's nothing formal. Finally, I have heard you might want to establish some rules. Not everyone has the same compass for what's appropriate behavior, kind, and friendly. Keep it simple the first time out. Ultimately, it's how much work you want to put in to it and what your expecations are. I organized a rally myself a few years ago and we got a whopping 7 trailers. It was a good start, but it took a lot of my time when I was working full time. I found I prefer to attend rallies, not organize them. Everyone is different. It was worth the experience and I could have built on it if I wanted to. Cheers, Rod

I had spoken with a local hot rod club that I belong to and pass the idea of having them incorporate a cruise into the campground and they think it a great idea.
I’m still working on the details.
Stay tuned for more.
