New to this campground. Recently picked up a Trotwood Lark S C. The very faded registration seems to say its a 1955 but I bet it's newer than that. Sending a few starter photos just to see if I figured out how to do it. -David IMG_8521 by David Kelley, on Flickrhttps://www.flickr.com/gp/197176676@N06/L260vJyw3V IMG_8519 by David Kelley, on Flickr IMG_8522 by David Kelley, on Flickr

I love this old round shape. It reminds me of a Shasta Compact. I would guess it is more 1966 with the type of interior it has . The side markers up front also tell a newer model for some manufactures but it is always hard to say. What throws me off a bit is the small front window that seems to be in older 50s campers. This is great camper to save and have fun. You may find this useful, tincantourists.com/wiki/trotwood/But I am sure there is more history out there if you google and dig further

Thanks for the interest and encouragement. For years I've been collecting and restoring antique outboards and vintage boats. I can see how these vintage camper trailers can become addictive. To get the Trotwood, I had to agree to haul this Avalon out of the woods and take it too. Full of trash and rodent nests. Several trips to the dump. This one is coming home in pieces. Trot is a good trailer. This one has seen way better days and a lot of PO work. Most of it wrong LOL. It's going to need a complete rebuild. Frame Off. So you are going to want to document every single piece and fastener you remove while taking it apart. That way you will know how to put it back together. By the way I teach a class on this online.... But we can help and I have over a thousand videos on my You Tube channel. Plus my free website. www.cannedhamtrailers.com Welcome to the board and get ready for the ride of your life.

Thanks for chiming in, Larry. I've watched a bunch of your videos and learned a lot already about how to approach this project. I agree that it needs a total rebuild. What do you see in the pictures I posted that show PO work and modifications?

Thanks for chiming in, Larry. I've watched a bunch of your videos and learned a lot already about how to approach this project. I agree that it needs a total rebuild. What do you see in the pictures I posted that show PO work and modifications? Well on first look at the photos I thought a lot of the paneling went in later. But on second look, I think it might be original. So perhaps there is no PO work done on the trailer. Photos can be deceiving. Especially when looked at on the internet. I can't wait to see what's under the metal skin.
