Floorplans are great but I've been looking for a vintage trailer for years without having been in one. I'm up for anything but I think I really like the early '60s Shasta Deluxe. I'm not hip to specific names and dimensions but it would be the 19 foot one with the kitchen and toilet in the middle, dining table on one end and bed on the other. If anyone lives near Sacramento, CA and wouldn't mind giving me a tour, let me know. In lieu of that, I would like to see an Astrodome, an SCS or an SC. Thanks, Barry

You need a vintage rally to attend.

I have a deluxe very early 57 style but the floor plan is the same as the newer early 60’s Deluxes. I really like it. It has a bathroom shower combination although small. Front dinette folds down into a bed (good for two kids) and back goucho folds out into a bed (2 adults can fit). The bathroom is on the driver’s side wall behind the dinette. The dinette is at the front of the trailer. You can do a search for Shasta deluxe or on you tube to see actual floor plans.

Hi Friends, This is a fabulous idea! Google trailer rallies Northern California and you will find some. In your area, Red Bluff has one on May 5, 2023 and there is also Pismo Beach which is farther south for you on May 20. The larger rallies always have some Shastas, but usually shorter. I would also consider other trailer manufacturers who built trailers in that length that should be up for consideration IMHO, unless the wings are a dealmaker. Yellowstone comes to mind for me. Check FB and see if you can find a Shasta Club in Nor Cal. Are you willing to work to restore one or would you like one that is restored (correctly)? Budget and skills really dictate this decision. Cheers, Rod

Thanks for the tip Rod. Red Bluff isn't that far away and I may be able to meet up with my brother who lives in Oregon.

Hi Barry,
There are also rallies in Oregon, if that's an option.
Cheers,
Rod
