Hello! I'm new to VTT and to trailer restoration. Recently started working on a 65 Forester (16 ft) which came without a door lock. I can't find any online resources that identify the type of lock that model came with (can't find much about Foresters, period!). The gap for the lock in the door frame is rectangular. The cut out in the outer skin for it is 3-in x 2.5-in. Maybe it was a Bargman 200 or 300? If so, since they're about as easy to find as hen's teeth, what would be a reasonable alternative?
Thank you!

Welcome!
I have a 1962 Forester. Not many of them around these days. They were built by a boat company to keep the employees working in the winter months. Very solid camper.
Is this the lock you have? It's an Bargman L66
Hard to find. They pop up every now and then on ebay. Never cheap.

might be a 200 as well. Do you have a photo of the hole?

Looks like an L 200. Very hard to come by because they were used on Airstreams as well. Good luck on your hunt.

Get ready to gulp.😳 The price range on these handles varies wildly. Right now on ebay, there is one at $300. That's a bargain when compared to the other one for $429.
It goes up from there.

Dang! Thank you, Rod for the tip! So, I just made my first ever eBay purchase. Sure hope that Bargman L200 is legit 🤞 It was $194 . . .
