Hi! My man and I just bought a 1976 Mallard Goldeneye for $1200 and the first thing I need to do is make it not such an eyesore on our vacant land. I wanted something to camp in occasionally while we work on building a house. I have so many questions like:
Is fiberglass insulation a mouse house mess waiting to happen? (Should I use spray foam instead)?
Is DTM paint a naughty word in this forum?
What's the best way to paint the exterior aluminum without having a sprayer?
THANKS & I'm finding this forum helpful, entertaining, and educational. Nice to meet you all! Will upload photos later.

Welcome!
I wouldn't use spray foam insulation. Fiberglass and insulation boards are both better options. Although you don't want to spray, you may find this thread about doing a cheap paint job interesting:
I strongly recommend you search for rot and do all repairs before esthetic improvements.

I'm just going to print that thread out and use it for by Bible thank you very much! And, so you can sleep happy, I will for sure be doing all the prep work to address open areas & rot before painting! You'll see my newbie Q's on here frequently, I presume.
The photos on your tutorial are GOLD.

Welcome. Remove your skins and find out what repairs are needed before paint. You will inevitably scratch new paint doing repairs... I have not used DTM paint.
