Back in the early 2000's my brother and I bought all these trailers for under $1000 each. All within 15 miles of us just by knocking on doors. They were all in different stages of restoration in this pic. Can't find them like this anymore! From left to right- Shasta, Jewel, Shasta, Corvette. 4 trailers by Jeff Walker, on Flickr Linc & Trailer by Jeff Walker, on Flickr

On the trailer I'm working on, the original skin in the front had two deep divots pushed in, each about a foot from the outside edge and about 3-1/2ft up. I wondered what could have made those. When turning, my pickup wasn't nearly wide enough or tall enough. No vehicle I could find would fit. Until I found specs on the fins on a 57 chevy Impala.

Not necessarily tall fins, but wide fins! My Brother has a 60 Oldsmobile that dented a corner of his Spartan.

Truck camper jacks will make some nasty dents as well...
