Hi All I've struck out in my search here for what should be in your traveling repair kit. I'm talking after you've got her rebuilt and road worthy. We all know that something can and will go wrong especially if you are not prepared. So first is there an existing thread about this? If not what do you bring?
Basic Tool kit (screwdrivers, prybar, crescent wrench, snips etc...) Spare tire, jack, etc... (i like using a bottle jack) Fix a flat spare wheel bearings and seals, bearing grease and rebuild tools. Duct tape, butyl backed aluminum flashing tape Voltage tester or meter spare light bulbs spare wire Sheet plastic or cardboard to cover a broken window reflectors/road flares coupler repair kit that works for your model

I know this is overkill, but I take 50 pounds or metric and standard open end wrenches, sockets, electrical tools, etc. etc. etc every time I go on a road-trip

I'm a believer of Murphy's Law.
You won't need what you bring and you won't bring what you need.
So best to bring spare tires, lug wrench, jack, spare hubs, bulbs, wire, tape, plastic tarp, hitch repair parts, complete tool kit, flashlight, JBweld, screws, bolts, wood, bungees, ratchet straps, chain, mini compressor, welder, flares/reflectors, spare cash, etc.
Do this and your trip will be uneventful.
On serious note, I would bring a scissor jack. Bottle jacks may leak over time without you knowing.

On serious note, I would bring a scissor jack. Bottle jacks may leak over time without you knowing. Yep, my standard is: All tools required to change a wheel bearing and race plus have the replacement bearings (already packed), race, seal, cotter pin... (hammer, chisel (to remove race if required), large punch (to drive in race), side cuts (dikes)(for removing cotter pin and electrical if needed), channel locks pliers (spindle nut) In addition: Jumper cables, multi-tester, pry bar, tire tool, (I have a compact spare for my trailer but still throw in the 2 old tires, (I can hand change them if need be), tire plug kit, 12v compressor, vice grips, electrical tape, pocket knife, breaker bar with sockets to fit TV & trailer lug nuts, metric socket set with ratchet, cheap socket/screw driver bit set, cheap blue tarp, rope, ratchet straps ('cause you never know when you might have to hold something on), work gloves. Believe it or not, everything fits in a soft sided "gym" bag, well, except the tires of course. And, there is a tow / snatch strap and clevis that is always in the truck along with an old car antennae (have helped folks in NP's break into their vehicles before when their dog locked them out) As Red Green says: "If the women can't find you handsome, at least they can find you handy"... Over our 45,000 miles of trailer traveling, I have had to use most of these tools at least once. Sometimes it's just to help someone else out. They have "saved my bacon" more than once. We tend to wander a little farther from home than some do. Just my opinion, didn't say it was a good one, but my wife does say I tend to overthink things a bit (until we actually need it, then it's "aren't you glad WE brought that) Whitney
