Brother passed away and left behind a 65 Commanche Trailer. Anyone know where I could locate more details on this trailer.

Welcome.
I'm sorry about your brother. Unfortunately that brand is new to me. Hopefully somebody will chime in with information.

We don’t see a lot of overhang Beds these days. The brand is definitely new to me.

They didn't have the internet or computers for business and home use back then. Many companies came and went in a short period of time. Of the ones that stayed around longer, only hard copy printed information can be found. But all trailers were pretty much built the same back then as they are now. So if you don't find info on your particular trailer it's no biggie. What you will learn if you hang around here is that what you need to do is decide if the trailer is worth restoring for you or not. Paying someone to do it for you will cost twice what it will be worth when you are finished. Doing it yourself is really the only way to go. So in order to figure out what you need to do you must first remove all the metal skin. That's where you start because all trailers are built from the inside out. Not like houses. You can't just go inside the trailer and gut it. That will ruin the trailer so don't do that.
So start with educating yourself on how these trailers are built. Then you reverse the building process in order to take them apart. Taking a trailer apart is how you figure out how to rebuild it properly. You begin by removing all the metal skin. But educate yourself first. These pages are full of information you will need.
Welcome to the board. Welcome to the wonderful world of vintage trailer restoral and welcome to what will most likely be the biggest scavenger hunt of your life.
