Hi Friends, So you ask, What is a joggle stick? That's what I asked too. It's for those enterprising souls who have to build cabinets inside a riveted trailer like a Spartan, Westcraft, or Vagabond. I always wondered how anyone could build a cabinet to fit a curved corner or rooftop like this. Kirkadie, care to share some thoughts? If anyone on the board has ever used one, I imagine he has. Cheers, Rod[/font]

Rod, we call them ticking sticks but same/same. Basically a thin piece of plywood about a foot long and a few inches wide with a pointy end and some notches along it's length. In the pic you have here tape a piece of cardboard up against the cabinet long enough to pick up the entire curved surface with it's top against the roof. Mark some temporary points along the curve of the cabinet's curve, maybe 6-8. Pointy end of ticking stick against each cabinet mark and trace the shape of the stick on the cardboard. As you move the 'T.S.' along the curve of the cabinet catching each temporary point of the curve. When done put the cardboard on a piece of thin plywood big enough to catch all the T.S. shapes around the curve. Tack a finishing nail into each of the points you now have on the new template and bend a flexible ruler or thin strip of bendable wood against each nail eyeballing it to make the curve look fair (no acute angle changes), trace around the bent ruler and cut out the shape on the bandsaw. Boom, there's your curve. I'm probably making it sound harder than it is.

I'll be using one in the fiberglass trailer I'm restoring. That might make for a good video...
