My 1965 Fireball has the springs on top of the axle and blocks between axle and spring. The trailer is so high I have trouble getting in and out of the step. Is it easy/ difficult to remove the blocks? Or should I just get a portable step? It is a double axle Fireball. Roger

I am not very familiar with tandem axle trailers on lift/axle issues. I would go to a local trailer company and ask them. The springs "might" be able to be moved on top of the springs, giving you several inches. Also, there may be some different procedures for tandems.

The springs are already on top of the axles, I just wondered if anyone has the blocks installed and the procedure to take them out. Thanx Vikings for responding. Roger

It looks like someone wanted to gain a lot of ground clearance for boondocking and made these updates to your trailer including possibly moving the spring above the axle in the past. I find YouTube to be a great resource for learning about these things. Search there for trailer axle flip and trailer lift kit installation, etc. You would obviously be doing the reverse of an install... You would need new Ubolts and other related parts. See below as one example... A portable step is a great solution unless you really want to get down and dirty with this work :-) www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QRc6BNaLgU

Removing the blocks is easy. But, they might be there for Tire clearance. Grab a creeper, tape measure and your common sense and see how things fit.
You might have to replace wheels and tires.
