Floor framing all cut and measured, on hold until I get the walls built. Need to make sure the wheel wells fit correctly before cutting out the metal in the new wells (I had them made at a local shop, way sturdier than the old ones). Using the frame with no wheels as a platform to replicate the wall build. Seems kinda hard to attempt a vertical build. Anyhow, at least making progress. The floor layout fits the old wall exactly (measured lots of times). The journey continues. All set for the wall building. Framing cut. Plywood ripped and ready for radius. Wheel wells matched. Front lower framing radius pattern matched. Need to get busy framing! E0FEBB86-2435-40C7-941A-047BBE3D06A4 by asmay22, on Flickr

Very niceI Interesting that the perimeter framing was done with laminated ply. I don't think that's even possible on a trailer with 3/4 inch thick walls. It's a great feeling to see things starting to take shape.

For sure. The 1 1/2 framing makes it pretty stout. I was going to install my fridge in th wardrobe cabinet like on your Shasta. Thinking of a norcold , dometic or isotherm 2 way (no propane) 30x21x20 about. Do you have any wall framing and cabinet framing pics of what you did for your fridge?
Thanks,
-Scott.

Hi Scott, Below is a pic of the fridge opening in the Shasta closet without the base installed. I copied the original but tweaked the dimensions slightly so it would fit a Norcold 305 and still utilize the exiting vent openings. The plywood ductwork above the fridge channels the exhaust from the back of the fridge to the upper vent opening in the side wall. The lower vent opening is larger and on a hinge so the fridge can be serviced from the outside. if you use electric only you can vent to the inside which gives you more flexibility.

All done framing curbside! Now onto making sure the wheel well framing is in the right spot before securing the floor. I think they only only used 1/4” carriage bolts, probably going to use 5/16 either 5 or 8 strength to hold down the floor and walls. 0184F421-B8B9-4314-A31B-B1FA76A924FB by asmay22, on Flickr

Got the floor framing all fitted to the chassis. Drilled out the 5/16 carriage bolt holes everywhere. And put the belly pan on. Progress will be slowing down, going in for knee surgery tomorrow (miniscus cleanup not replacement). Hope to be back at it in 2-3 weeks. Happy new year to everyone!
