Is there a small 120 volt portable electric space heater that is efficient and quiet? I am looking to add an portable electric space heater to a Shasta Compact for those cool evenings in early spring or late fall. Size in an issue as space is at a premium. Should it be placed near the closet or maybe on top of the stove?

I have a very small $20 electric heater they sell at places like Walmart. It heats the camper in minutes.

We have something that I assume is like what ncccamper uses. I spent two winters in Portland OR in Hamlet (our Compact). The coldest it got was 13F. It didn’t keep the camper toasty at those temps, but it was warm enough. Just plugged it into the socket.

Hi Friends,
With the small heaters I have tried, the fan makes the most noise. But, these trailers are insulated, so they hold the heat for a little while once heated especially one so small as a Compact. The heater should probably go near where you hang out, that probably being the dinette area. You could try on the stove, but heat rises anyways. Just keep an eye out for the pilot light if the stove has one and the hot spot that occurs right above the pilot light on the stove top.
Cheers,
Rod

Twenty dollar Walmart heater. Ceramic. I have one and it heats my 69 Siesta just fine and the fan is not too loud for sleeping. You hardly even notice it running in this video...
