Hi Linda,
I will be there. Look for the silver Honda Ridgeline with a license plate that when read matches my screen name.
Cheers,
Rod

Hi Friends, A few weeks ago I participated in the Pismo Beach Vintage Trailer Rally in Pismo Beach California. It's a great venue only a minute walk to the beach. The rally is one of the largest ones on the West Coast. Here is the link to an album I set up. flic.kr/s/aHBqjzSZGu It's got nearly 140 images in it with a few videos. I walked around at dusk one evening and took pics and went around early one morning again. There may be some duplication, but I didn't have time to cull the duplicates. Weather was fabulous and we had no rain and only some night time dew. My strategy this year was to not visit the glamped trailers, but look at the larger trailers. Westcrafts and Vagabonds we're well represented. These trailers were finely restored and none of them were glamped up. In almost every case, when asked, "What will you do now?" They responded with, "We have another one to work on". One of the Westcrafts was restored by a 30 something boat builder. Incredible cabinetry! Flyte Camp had a trailer there and word had it that it was bought by a buyer in Long Beach California and this was a layover on the way down to the buyer. You couldn't go into the trailer but had to view from the door. I have pix and a short video of the interior. You will see an avocado green Westcraft with a gray lower section. The interior is blond, possibly maple. Another highlight was a1937 Hayes with a mahogany interior. That was restored by a commercial company, but privately owned. Enjoy and cheers, Rod

Hi Friends,
This rally has a waiting list. Rumor has it that it takes a few years to get into the rally. But, every year, there are a few open spots over the Rally weekend, that I will assume don't get filled. Either that, or people "take the hit" to keep their spot for the following year. For me to get a spot, I had put in my check for a deposit and a place on the waiting list. It took a year and a half. About 6 weeks before the rally a few years ago, I got a call asking me if I wanted a spot. So, I only waited a 1.5 years to get in. I guess I got lucky.
I met someone there two years ago who was called three days before and they weren't even on the waiting list. They got in. They are now a regular.
I think with some patience, anyone can get in. And yes, everyone is nice.
Cheers,
Rod

It would take two weeks to get there from NC. So last minute wouldn't work but I still hope to go someday.
