Hi all, I have been playing with cars for years but this is my first trailer. It is a 66 aristocrat land commander I purchased it from the second owner who purchased it in 1971. It’s all original… Which means it got stinky cushions and water damage But no one has ever tried to fix it up. No gobs of silicone anywhere. Most of the water damage seems to be coming from the roof vents. Stove and oven work, gaslight above stove works and has a refrigerator that appears to have been installed in the 70s that operates on 120 and 12v I’ve been lurking on the site for a couple months so no “gutting” action here. I’ll try to post some pictures.

I finally figured out the Photos… These are how I found the trailer. First thing I have to do is get the electrical working for the tow vehicle and pack the bearings and buy some tires so that I can tow it to DMV to get permanent plates.

Good skin and reasonably clean inside. You're ahead of the game. Do a complete check for Rot before towing it far.
And have fun!

You did great on the photos! I like the trailer; interesting profile.
Check out our Tow wiring section to help you figure out the wiring. Also be sure to clean all the lights and sockets-they get crudded up over the years.

Thank you,… The funny hump in front is a sleeping bunk over the dinette. It also has a sleeping bunk over the top of the couch in the rear of the trailer.

Interesting how they installed what looks to be a Hehr vent windows vertically on the sides beside the rear bunk. I don't think I have ever seen that done before. I think I have only ever seen horizontal mounting. Anyone else seen the vertical install?

Most Aristo Loliners had the vertical windows for the rear bunk ventilation.

The Airflytes did that using the same kind of window in pretty much the same location. In the 50s models that is how you knew the Airflyte. The 57 Westerners used a larger 14 inch push out turned sideways on the front sides for the dinette area. 59 Shasta Airflyte

Hi, I towed the trailer 11 miles home on the ancient H 78x14 bias ply tires. After arriving safely home I did an initial cleaning out of the trailer it appears from the contents I removed that it was last used in 1987.... I found a sock full of change by the wheel well under the sink. The newest coin was dated 1987 there was also a couple of newspapers from the gold country of California also dated 1987. The person I bought the trailer from is still looking for the keys so I didn’t know what was behind any of the locked storage doors. With the help of YouTube I was able to pick the cabinet locks… The rear trunk had all kinds of miscellaneous barbecue stuff... fishing tackle box ,fishing pole, axe ... The side cabinet in front of the door had a hydraulic jack and four jackstands plus a tub of wheel bearing grease....Of course the two rear cabinets I was able to get to from underneath the rear bed, it contained a rubber raft with paddles ,aluminum foil ,lightbulbs ,matches and other miscellaneous stuff . It was a fun treasure hunt.
